Library Modernization Project Design Contest

Do you live, work, or go to school in Pacifica? Design a bookmark and/or sticker for a chance to win a Shop Pacifica Gift Card and have your creation featured to promote the Library Modernization Project!

Here’s how to participate:

Download the template and fill in the designated spaces to design a sticker and/or bookmark. Drawings only please, no text!

Your artwork should answer one or more of these questions:

  • Why do you love your Pacifica libraries?
  • What makes Pacifica libraries important to our community?
  • What do Pacifica libraries of the future look like to you?

Submit your design at Sharp Park Library (104 Hilton Way) or Sanchez Library (1111 Terra Nova Blvd) by Tuesday, April 29 at 5pm.

By submitting a design, you agree to allow the Pacifica Library Advisory Committee, Pacifica Friends of the Library, and/or the City of Pacifica to use your artwork to promote the Library Modernization Project.

The Library Modernization Project envisions a new, full-service Sharp Park Library with 7-day availability, and transforms Sanchez Library into an “Open Access” model allowing 24/7 access to a browsing collection and increased space for programing.

Our libraries have served the Pacifica community well for decades, but they are outdated. Sharp Park Library was built in 1965 – before the United States put a man on the moon – while Sanchez Library was completed in 1981 – the same year Ronald Reagan became president. Pacifica is now the only city in the San Mateo County Libraries that has not renovated its library buildings. Pacifica’s children, teens, families, and seniors deserve safe learning and social environments for generations to come.
